Privacy policy

The short version
You can read this whole site and answer every free practice question without giving us anything. There is no account, no login, and quiz answers are never sent anywhere — they stay in your browser and vanish when you close the tab. We only receive personal data if you deliberately type it into the contact form or ask for your quiz results by email.
Who we are
Med Revision is published by Webrich Software, the data controller for this site. To ask about your data, or to ask us to delete something you have sent us, use the contact form.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading performance. These record things like the page visited, approximate region, device type and referrer. They do not use cookies for cross-site tracking and do not build a profile of you across other websites.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which parts of the site are useful. It sets cookies and records page views, and a small number of deliberate events: starting a quiz, finishing a quiz (the counts only — never the questions or your answers), and clicking through to an app store listing. Google's own privacy policy covers what it does with that data.
The cookie notice at the bottom of the page is a notice, not a consent gate: analytics loads on every visit, and dismissing the banner only stops it reappearing. We would rather say that plainly than show you an "Accept" button that changes nothing.
The contact form
The contact form is processed by Web3Forms, which passes your message to us by email. That means your name, email address and whatever you write in the message are handled by Web3Forms in transit and then stored in our email. We use them to reply to you and to fix whatever you reported. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Emailed quiz results
At the end of a practice quiz you can ask for your results by email. If you do, your email address and that quiz's results are sent to our support service to generate the message. Nothing is sent unless you type an address and press Send, and we do not use the address for marketing.
Affiliate links
Some pages link to books and equipment on Amazon as an Amazon Associate, and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Following one of those links takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply. Recommendations are made on merit; a commission does not buy a place on the list.
App stores
Store badges link to Apple's App Store and Google Play. Once you follow one, you are on their platform under their privacy terms. Any purchase or subscription is between you and that store — we never see your payment details.
The app itself
This policy covers this website. The app has its own privacy information shown on its store listing, which is where to look for how the app handles data on your device.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. In practice we hold very little: an email thread if you have written to us. Ask through the contact form and we will deal with it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to what we collect will be described here rather than made quietly.
